'But, you know, it's Arlo…'

Arlo's Adventure
This website was set up in memory of Arlo Arthur Owen. Arlo was born ar 27 weeks gestation after it was discovered his mum's waters had broken before the 20 week scan. Arlo's mum spent 7 weeks on bed rest, which included 3 weeks in Liverpool Women's Hospital before Arlo was born. Once Arlo was born he spent his whole life in the neonatal unit there. Arlo didn't like to make things easy. He truly was larger than life, with a personality the walls of his incubator struggled to contain. He was dignosed with a condition called Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis. Which meant his imune system was in over-drive, destroying the white and red blood cells as they were produced and leaving him without an immune system. For a premature baby who had the odds stacked against him, he fought for 6 weeks and one precious day before he passed away in the arms of his parents.
As Arlo's parents, we wanted his legacy to live on and to help others in similar situations. Arlo has helped so many families so far and continues to do so with your support.
Thank you.
